1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

The Dona Living Editorial Team aims to publish information that is clear, practical, and accurate at the time of publication.

However, home products, prices, technologies, safety recommendations, manufacturer instructions, and industry practices can change. Human mistakes can also occur during research, writing, editing, or formatting.

When we identify a meaningful error, we review the affected content and make an appropriate correction as soon as reasonably possible.

2. What We Correct

We may correct or update content when it includes:

Small edits that do not change the meaning of an article may be made without a separate correction notice.

Formatting

Repairing spacing, headings, lists, tables, image placement, or mobile display issues.

Broken Links

Replacing or removing a link that no longer works without changing the article’s main conclusion.

These minor changes may not result in a new “last updated” date unless the article receives a broader and meaningful review.

4. Material Corrections

A material correction involves information that could significantly affect a reader’s understanding, decision, purchase, project, or safety.

Examples may include:

Incorrect safety guidance.
A major factual error.
An inaccurate product recommendation.
A comparison based on incorrect specifications.
A statement that wrongly suggests first-hand testing.
A claim based on an unreliable or misrepresented source.
Information that could cause property damage or personal risk if followed.

When a material correction is confirmed, we may revise, replace, clarify, or remove the affected information.

Urgent Safety Issues

Reports involving electricity, gas, fire, carbon monoxide, structural damage, hazardous substances, serious mold, flooding, or another immediate safety concern receive priority review.

5. How We Review Correction Requests

Correction reports are reviewed by the Dona Living Editorial Team using the following process:

We identify the affected content We confirm the article URL, statement, image, table, link, or section mentioned in the report.
We review the supporting information We compare the published content with reliable sources such as official documentation, manufacturer instructions, recognized organizations, or relevant public guidance.
We determine the type of issue We decide whether the report involves a factual error, outdated information, unclear wording, a difference of opinion, or another editorial concern.
We make the appropriate change Depending on the issue, we may correct a statement, add context, update a source, replace an image, revise a recommendation, or remove unsupported information.
We document important corrections Material changes may receive an update date or correction note explaining what was changed.

6. Article Updates

An update is not always the same as a correction.

An article may be updated because:

A product has changed or been discontinued.
New information has become available.
A manufacturer has changed its instructions.
A newer option provides better value or compatibility.
Additional examples or explanations would help readers.
The structure of the article needs improvement.

We do not change publication or update dates solely to make older content appear new. A displayed update date should reflect a meaningful review or revision.

7. Product Information, Prices, and Availability

Product features, prices, warranties, availability, dimensions, compatibility, and retailer information may change after an article is published.

We aim to correct important product details when we become aware that they are inaccurate. However, readers should confirm critical information directly with the manufacturer or retailer before making a purchase.

A temporary price difference or an item becoming unavailable does not necessarily mean the article contains an editorial error. In those cases, we may update the content when the change appears meaningful or lasting.

8. Reader Correction Submissions

Readers are encouraged to report possible errors, unclear explanations, outdated recommendations, broken links, or misleading information.

To help us review a correction efficiently, please include:

The URL of the affected article or page.
The title of the article.
The specific sentence, section, table, image, or claim involved.
A clear explanation of why you believe it is inaccurate.
A reliable supporting source, when available.
The date you noticed the issue.

Useful Supporting Sources

Official manufacturer documentation, government resources, recognized professional organizations, safety authorities, technical manuals, and other primary sources are generally more useful than anonymous comments or unsupported social media posts.

9. Differences of Opinion

Not every disagreement represents a factual error.

Home organization methods, décor choices, cleaning routines, product preferences, and value judgments may reasonably differ between readers.

When a report concerns an opinion, we may review whether the article presents that opinion clearly and fairly. We may add context or alternatives, but we are not required to change an editorial conclusion solely because another person prefers a different approach.

10. Correction and Update Notices

When an error is minor and does not affect the meaning of the article, it may be corrected without a public notice.

When a correction significantly changes the meaning, safety guidance, recommendation, or conclusion of an article, we may add a notice explaining:

What information was incorrect or unclear.
What was changed.
When the correction was made.
Why the correction was necessary, when helpful.

In exceptional cases, an article may be removed when it cannot be corrected responsibly, contains serious unsupported claims, or creates a meaningful risk of misleading readers.

11. Responses and Review Time

We aim to review reasonable correction requests carefully, but we cannot guarantee a specific response time or an individual reply to every submission.

Urgent safety concerns and clear factual errors may receive priority. More complex requests may require additional research before a decision is made.

Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that the article will be changed. Final editorial decisions remain with the Dona Living Editorial Team.
